Corporate Banking Web Portal
A fully dynamic, Server-Driven UI web portal built for a major corporate banking institution during my internship at Suitmedia. The architecture relies on headless CMS integration where page layouts and content are seamlessly rendered based on backend API payloads.
The Challenge
Enterprise banking platforms require extreme flexibility to update content and layouts without constantly deploying new frontend code. Traditional static site generation or hardcoded layouts cannot keep up with the dynamic marketing and operational needs of a major financial institution.
The Solution
Engineered a Server-Driven UI architecture using Nuxt.js combined with Sitecore JSS. Instead of hardcoding pages, the frontend acts as a renderer that parses backend payloads containing a list of components and their respective data, rendering the complex UI fully dynamically.
Key Features
Technology Stack
Nuxt.js
Vue Framework for Server-Side Rendering and routing.
Sitecore JSS
Headless CMS integration for dynamic layout parsing.
Tailwind CSS
Utility-first CSS for rapid mobile-responsive styling.
Development Process
Architecture Design
Understanding the Sitecore JSS data structure and planning the component mapping strategy in Nuxt.js.
Component Development
Building highly modular components that can adapt to varying data structures provided by the headless CMS.
UI Slicing & Implementation
Translating complex banking UI/UX designs into pixel-perfect code.
Responsiveness & QA
Conducting rigorous cross-viewport testing to ensure accessibility and layout integrity.
Engineering Challenges
Dynamic Rendering
Handling unpredictable component lists from the backend required robust fallback mechanisms and strict type/prop validation.
